    SS WILLIAM AND MARY VICTORY World War II Victory Ship memorial first day cover with
    postmark from Fort Lauderdale, FL dated February 9, 2018. Color printed cachet #8110
    of underway Victory Ship by Alvin Eckert USCS #9964. The merchant cargo ship was
    built by the Bethlehem Fairfield Shipyard at Baltimore and launched on April 20, 1945
    The ship was named for the College of William and Mary in colonial Williamsburg,
    Virginia and is part of a group of 150 Victory Ships that were named for US Colleges
    and Universities. Cover franked with 3 cent merchant marine stamp and 50 cent flag stamp
