Our take in that nomenclature refers to a sportsfisherman seat that's the ultimate in comfort and practicality, designed specifically for the long hauling, bluewater, no holds barred angler who doesn't want to compromise his or her creature comforts for the sake of having the toughest fishing support out there. 3.5 more inches of depth than our biggest seat so far, the GT's whooping 19.5 inches of plush but solid feeling marine environment resisting charcoal foam translate into our most comfortable fishing boat seat yet. Although you can still lean on it, this sould be calle a "seating post".

2 latched and sealed underseat cabinets, bottom opening and holding 3 Plano® 3700 Series big tackle boxes, measuring 14 x 9 x 3 inches, on one side and a spacious, open storage space on the other, plus a Yeti® bottle opener afixed on the left side, included in the price.
This is our deepest, comfiest leaning post yet, sporting a 38 inch wide by 19.5 deep and plush but firm seat in pleated white marine specific upholstery with white piping. Cushion assembly constructed from marine spec foamed StarBoard® PVC, epoxied to a marine anodized aluminum base and covered with closed cell, also marine spec, charcoal flotation foam.
Bright finish marine spec Anodized 1 - 1/2 inch diameter, schedule 40 TIG fillet welded 6061-T6 series aluminum structure that guarantees strength and durability as all structural parts in our seats are welded, never screwed nor bolted together for inequaled reliability in tough angling situations.
Underseat wide and shallow (33" wide x 10" tall x 2" deep) storage powder coated tray keeps loose items (think celphones and wallets) out of sight but handy and dry.
Ribbed extra wide extruded profile adds grip and comfort to the retractable and recessed foothold.
Welded, anatomically molded and super grippy side handholds for added convenience and safety.
