    Description

I combine shipping on multiple auctions, so if you're a collector, bid on everything to get an even better deal, and then bid again on each piece for good measure!
Why I am selling this: My mother no longer wants this, and while I like it, I think someone else might like it more.
Description: This is a carved figurine formerly belonging to my mother.  She purchased this in Michigan, which is where Petoskey stone comes from.  It is apparently a fossil formation of the rugose coral
    Hexagonaria percarinata
.  The beautiful formations do mimic the scutes of a turtle's shell, so it works very well.  This turtle has a diamond-shaped head and three toes on each foot.  The shell and body are two distinct pieces of Petoskey stone that have been glued one atop the other.  The underside is completely smooth and contains the same patterns, since this is a natural material.
    This figurine has no defects.
    Specifications: 2 1/4" across, 1 3/8" thick, 3/8" tall, 24.8g
I do work full-time, so please be patient and I will do my best to be prompt with respect to shipping time.  I ONLY SHIP TO THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.  Please ONLY bid for an item if you intend to pay for it, and do NOT ask for a better price once an item has been sold to you.  Please pay within three days of winning an auction.  Absolutely NO RETURNS of any kind for any reason.  Thanks for your consideration!
