I combine shipping on multiple auctions, so if you're a collector, bid on everything to get an even better deal, and then bid again on each piece for good measure!
Why I'm selling this: My mother no longer wants it, and while I can appreciate the skill that went into making it, I feel that someone else might like this more than I do.  Also, I have no place to display it at the moment.
Description: This is a piece of leather art purchased by my mother.  She purchased this at an art festival in Palo Alto, California, in 2013.  A turtle has been cut out in black leather and stitched to a rectangular piece of white leather that serves as a mat.  A thick black frame completes the picture.  The artist's logo, a rising sun, has been tooled into the lower left corner of the piece, and the back contains a business card proclaiming this to be "LEATHER ART / by / dawn mountain".  It is signed "Susan Mountain" in cursive black ink, with a doodle of the same rising sun.  I am unclear whether "Dawn Mountain" is a company or a name.  The reverse side of the frame, done by Old Town Frames, includes several bits of metal that might assist in hanging.
This plaque has no defects.
