1964 Tonga tin can mail cover with letter SS Monterey [y6074]

Description

1964 "tin can mail" cover from Tonga to the US.  Cacheted for Niuafoou Island, "canoe mail" marking; 3 Tonga stamps, Matson Lines corner card with printed enclosure and S.S. Monterey handstamp on reverse.  Slightly rough at top where opened and one stamp damaged when affixed.  Nice "late" tin can mail item.
